Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,672 per week in Odessa, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the profession License: Current nursing license Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - TNCC or TCAR - NIHSS - EKG course completion Must-Have: - 6 hours of total stroke education (can be provided if needed) - Ability to float to Medical/Surgical or Telemetry if needed - Previous charge experience preferred Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. Start date within the next 3 to 5 weeks preferred. The nurse will manage patients with critical conditions. The patient ratio will be 5 to 6:1 when floating. This position involves night shifts working four times a week. Must comply with infection prevention protocols. Experience with Cerner charting system preferred. Responsibilities include arterial line management and ventilator care. The nurse will need to administer emergency medications and manage central lines. Must have strong skills in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Additional skills required include management of patients with multisystem organ failure and care for post-surgical patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various teams. Daily census in the unit is approximately 15 patients. Candidates must be flexible and willing to collaborate with healthcare teams. Flu vaccine is required, with exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons. Travel experience is required for this position.
