Job Title: Pediatric Float ICU Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Critical Care Duration: Per Diem Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Varies Experience: Must have at least 2 years of PICU or Pediatric CICU experience License: Active GA or compact license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Must float to 2 campuses. Must float to all ICUs including PICU, NICU, TDICU, and CICU, as well as any general care and specialty areas as needed. Patient ratio is 2-3:1. Every other weekend required. Must make up any missed shifts. Facility is nicotine-free; must be tested with drug screen. Flu vaccine is required with no exceptions; exemptions will not be permitted. Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in a floating capacity within pediatric critical care settings. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care for critically ill pediatric patients across multiple units. The position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. The nurse must be adaptable to various settings and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
