Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires strong critical care skills, the ability to manage high-acuity patients, and confidence in handling advanced ICU equipment and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

  • Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as sepsis, ARF, DKA, cardiac events, and post-surgical cases

  • Interpret EKGs, ABGs, and cardiac rhythms

  • Manage and titrate critical care drips (pressors, sedation, antiarrhythmics, etc.)

  • Assist with advanced procedures including:

    • Ventilator management and weaning

    • CRRT (Prismaflex)

    • IABP, Impella, and other cardiac devices

  • Respond to rapid response and code blue situations

  • Float to PCU, MST, or other critical care units as needed

Unit Details
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (ICU), 1:3–4 (PCU)

  • Units Covered: ICU, CVICU, PCU (float required)

  • Beds: Multiple units under critical care service line

  • Charting System: Cerner

  • Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week

Schedule & Requirements
  • Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)

  • Weekend Requirement: 2 shifts per pay period

  • Floating: Required across ICU/PCU/MST units

  • On-Call: Possible (low census situations)
