Position Description: Contract Guarantee hours= 72 Hours Biweekly on all Assignments – these guaranteed hours do not include any "on-call” time worked
Comments And Notes: WINTER STAFFING NEEDS - TRAVELERS DO NOT NEED A SEPARATION PERIOD FROM BILH TO SUBMIT TO OPEN ORDERS - Locals accepted at *** less BR - IVS to offer 8-week need - 12/14 start date - Will not accept more than three days RTO. No holiday RTO will be approved. BILH coversheet required at time of submission. ICU FLOAT RN needed for Exeter Hospital. 12H Nights, 7p-7a. Every third weekend is required. 2+ years' experience required. Epic experience is required. ACLS/BLS-AHA required. 10 bed ICU - Types of Cases / Patients in ICU: Critically ill adult patients: medical emergencies, post-surgical care, respiratory failure, sepsis etc. (the typical mix for community hospital ICUs) — since there are intensivists and hospitalists, and the hospital handles specialty services (cardiac, surgery, etc.). Some pediatric critical care: Exeter doesn't have its own full pediatric ICU in many reports; often when children become critically ill, they may need to be transferred to larger tertiary pediatric centers. But the ICU does manage some ill children in certain situations (e.g. early in illness, stabilizing) when pediatric needs are involved. Stroke patients: Exeter has tele stroke / tele/neurology services, because they are certified as a Primary Stroke Center. So acute stroke patients may be managed in ICU if needed.
