Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum experience required License: Current state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in critical care settings - Ability to care for ventilated patients and manage arterial lines Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves providing care for high acuity patients. Patient diagnoses may include acute respiratory failure, sepsis, liver and renal failure, post-cardiac arrest, and gastrointestinal bleeding. The nurse will manage patient ratios of 1:3 during the day. The nurse may also be required to float to other units as needed. The unit operates with two charge nurses overseeing the full unit. Additional interdisciplinary support will be available to assist with patient care. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage complex patient needs. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Candidates should be prepared for high-stress situations and demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care.
