We respond to all Code Blue and CAT calls. We run our own codes inthe unit. Organizational focus on bedside reporting, whiteboards, and CLABSI, CAUTI, & HAPU reduction. Early Mobility Protocol to reduce ventilator days and decrease length of stay. Nurse Driven Foley Removal Protocol to decrease foley days. Managerial daily skin checks with a goal of zero HAPU. LifeLink for organ donation Management of critical drips per facility protocol (Levophed, Neosynephrine, Vasopressin, Cardene, Cardizem,Amiodarone, Propofol, Precedex, heparin, etc.) IV placement and lab draws Cardiac? we do not perform open heart? STEMI and NSTEMI? hypothermia protocol post cardiac arrest? Impella? Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump? temporary transcutaneous pacing? Swan-Ganz catheter Respiratory? ventilators? continuous CPAP/BiPAP/AVAPS? fresh trachs? we do not perform ECMO Renal? HD and PD by DaVita? we do not perform continuous renal replacement therapy Neuro (ICH r/t falls/trauma, HTN)? neurosurgery craniotomy, we do not perform intravascular interventions. Gamma knife is usually outpatient.? Ventricular drain and pressure monitoring, and could be emergently placed at the bedside.? fiber optic pressure monitoring? CVA tPA protocol EKOS for PE/DVT Trauma (MVA, hip fx, snake bites) Surgery? VATs and resections? carotid endarterectomy and carotid stents? EVAR (endovascular aneurysm repair) Psych? DT s implementing a new CIWA protocol (scalable interventions based on symptoms)? ICU psychosis and dementia Assist physician with bedside procedures (intubation, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, EGD/colonoscopy,thoracentesis, chest tube placement, central line placement, ventricular drain placement) Special Equipment : - #Tier2 Travel Compliance The Qualivis Candidate Submission form may be rejected if not FULLY COMPLETED. Compliance deadline is one week prior to start, prep candidate accordingly. A copy of the Driver s License update Nurseys MUST be included in the submission for verification of residence to determine if travel or local rate will apply: (local rate applies for residence living within 31-50 miles of facility. (locals will be accepted at local rate) Travelers living less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted. Any RTO must be included in submission, must be minimal especially around the holidays. Managers will try to be flexible. Minimum 1 year experience required; 3+ years required for CPU; 2 years required for MTs and LPNs.
