**Exciting Opportunity for Travel RN - 4N CCU (636) - 7P-7A!** **Job Description:** - Position Type: Travel RN (4 North Cardiac Telemetry) - Start Date: 12/14 - Guaranteed Hours: 48 hrs preferred - Location: Kansas City, MO - Unit Specifics: - Number of Beds: 29 - Patient Ratios: 1:4 - Staffing: Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs - Advanced Equipment: - Alaris IV Pumps - SCD machines - Hill Rom beds - Dinamap in each room - Welch Allen Vital Machines - Wound Vacs - Temporary Pacemakers - Telemetry monitor - EKG Machine - Bladder Scanner - Doppler - Imobile for team communication - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling Requirements: - Must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period - Floating Policy: Contract Nurses may be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency - Patient Experience Goals: - Treat every patient with courtesy and respect - Be responsive to call lights - Use patients' preferred names - Make personal connections - Involve patients in bedside shift report - Teach patients to use the phone to call nurses directly - Always ask if there is anything else needed before leaving the room **Hiring Profile:** - Requested Skill Set: - Must have Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience - Proficient in reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips - Advanced skills in post cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements) - Ability to administer and titrate IV medications (insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone) - Procedures Performed on Unit: - IV insertions - NGT placement and maintenance - Chest Tube maintenance - Temporary Pacemakers - Foley insertions - Certifications Required: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS - Dress Code: - Navy Blue scrubs (may wear black scrub pants with Navy Blue top) - Unit Guidelines/Policies: - Adhere to ICARE Values - Awards/Recognition: - AHA “Get With the Guidelines-Heart Failure GOLD PLUS with Honor Roll” - Additional Information: - Join a tenured and new staff team in a family-like atmosphere - Many contracts have transitioned into full-time roles - Experience a fast-paced environment **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
