Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $3,042 per week in Omaha, NE

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to ask questions, positive attitude, willingness to help others, critical thinking skills, and strong interpersonal skills Description: Unit is fast-paced with volume flexes due to being a primary tertiary care facility. RNs will care for adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old with various diagnoses such as neurological conditions, respiratory failure, and sepsis. Common procedures may include assisting with ventilators, CRRT, and various surgeries. RN will be required to titrate drips, including vasopressors and sedation. Charge nurses are present on each shift and will attend rapid response teams and codes. Nurse aids/patient care technicians are available with a ratio of 1:18. RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips without the assistance of techs. Nurses will float to all inpatient units with the exception of maternity and NICU. Uniform code requires navy blue scrubs. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required as per unit needs.
