Travel Registered Nurse - Multi-Specialty Resource (ER, ICU, Med-Surg/Peds)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly adaptable and experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a dynamic assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. This role requires a versatile clinician capable of providing comprehensive patient care across multiple acute care settings, including the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics units.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional flexibility, reporting daily to the House Supervisor for unit assignment based on fluctuating facility needs. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population, encompassing both adult and pediatric patients with varying acuities. Responsibilities may include direct patient care, managing patient loads, or providing essential task-oriented support such as answering call lights and phones, depending on the assigned unit and current staffing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult and pediatric patients across Emergency Room, Intensive Care, and Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics units.
  • Report daily to the House Supervisor for specific unit assignment, demonstrating readiness to adapt to different clinical environments.
  • Float to various departments as needed, utilizing a broad skill set to support patient care or operational tasks.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, and implement nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or a compact state.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent, acute care nursing experience.
  • Experience MUST include direct patient care in all three specialties: Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics, and Intensive Critical Care.

Shift Details
  • Assignment Dates: Starting September 1, 2026, for a 13-week contract.
  • Shift Type: Flexible Day/Night shifts, 12-hour duration.
