Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 4 years License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 2 - Charting system experience with Epic - Required travel experience Description: ICU Float will be required to float to all units on the inpatient side including ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. Must have a valid BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS, and CA RN Licensure. The position requires the ability to float to ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. The shift schedule is 3 x 12 nights from 19:00 to 07:00, working every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement. The nursing staff will provide care for the following patient populations: - CVICU patients recovering from surgery and ECMO patients. - Neurological ICU patients, including those recovering from thrombolysis stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and craniotomy. - SICU and MICU patients with conditions such as sepsis, GI bleeding, and DKA. Registered Nurses in this position will be expected to support the float pool. Travelers will be expected to float and take patient assignments in all aforementioned units. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, social services, and transportation. Daily patient census ranges from 16 to 20, with a facility capacity of 24 beds. Special equipment used in the unit includes CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO, pacemakers, Swan Ganz catheter, EVD, and dynamic monitoring tools. Patient age groups served include adults and geriatrics.
