Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 4 years License: Valid RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Float to ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg Description: ICU Float will be required to float to all units on the inpatient side from ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg. BLS (AHA) certification is required, along with ACLS and NIHSS certifications. Candidates must possess a valid RN licensure. A minimum of 4 years of experience is required. Travel experience is necessary. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience of 2 is required. Experience with the Epic charting system is needed. The daily census will range from 16 to 20 patients. The position requires weekend coverage and will include shifts every other weekend. The positions will support the float pool. Travelers will be expected to float and take patient assignments on all mentioned units. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Special procedures and care management will be required, including managing patients on ECMO and ventilated patients. Candidates must be able to perform CRRT, IABP, Impella, and various emergency medication protocols. Experience with post-cardiac surgery and neurosurgery management is preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to manage IVs and titrate medication drips. Compliance with onboarding procedures and work history verification will be required. All compliance documents must be submitted by the designated deadline. Candidates will need to provide accurate work history going back seven years. References from the last year will be necessary.
