Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $3,352 per week in Wichita, KS

Job Title: Rapid Response Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ICU experience License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The role requires working in a rapid response capacity. The unit has 26 beds and a staff of 15. On day shift, there are 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech. On night shift, there are 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech. Patient ratios are 1:2. Types of equipment include balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia devices. The EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates should ideally have prior experience traveling to large facility ICU units. Typical procedures performed include heart catheterizations, balloon pump management, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, cardioversion, and central line placements. Medication drips are also a part of the role. Candidates should demonstrate a driven, organized, and efficient approach to their work.
