Key Responsibilities of the Travel ICU Registered Nurse:
- Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced clinical interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
- Respond quickly to emergencies and changes in patient status
- Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
Requirements of the Travel ICU Registered Nurse:
- Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state)
- BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
