Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 8 or 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), every other weekend and some holidays. Four 12-hour shifts per week available based on traveler preference. Block scheduling available to accommodate time-off requests.

- 3:1 patient ratio for both day and night shifts
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact state license
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience with at least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in critical care specialty
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% minimum score; 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms)
- Competency in multiple ICU specialties including experience with ventilated patients, advanced cardiac care, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care procedures
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Additional certifications preferred: NIHSS, TNCC
Clinical Skills Required:
- Advanced critical care skills including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, blood product administration, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
- Competency with high-acuity equipment and procedures including BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and procedural sedation
- Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Experience with specialty populations: post-cardiac surgery, traumatic brain injury, CVA/stroke, and burn care
- Preferred experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, external ventricular drains, and ICP monitoring

- Floating required to various critical care units as needed
