Job Title: ECMO Specialist RN

Experience: 2 years minimum of ECMO Specialist (Circuit management) experience required; 3 or more years of CVICU/ICU preferred.
License: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: ECMO trained
Description:
ECMO Specialist RN position requires ECMO training.
Candidates must have 2 years minimum of ECMO Specialist experience in circuit management.
3 or more years of CVICU/ICU experience is preferred as staff may float to other units as needed.
Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
Preferred certifications are CES-A or E-AEC and LVAD.
This role focuses on the management of patients on ECMO and those with complex cardiovascular needs.
Duties include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and direct patient care.
Essential skills include knowledge of advanced life support, ventilator management, and cardiovascular monitoring.
Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic, is required.
Candidates should possess strong assessment skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Floating to other units may be required based on census demands.
