Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Medical ICU with a maximum census of 11, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2–3
• Manage and titrate common ICU drips including paralytics, sedatives, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and other vasoactive medications
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including CHF, COPD, Sepsis, MI, DKA, COVID, and ventilator-dependent patients
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and collaborate with monitor technicians, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Float to Med Surg unit as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated experience titrating ICU drips and managing critically ill patients
• Ability to pass a drug screen; must comply with a drug-free workplace policy
• Minimum of 1–2 years of ICU nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator-dependent patients and familiarity with RT-managed respiratory equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow)
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Prior experience occasionally managing IMU-level patients within an ICU setting
