Registered Nurse – Emergency / ICU Overflow

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an emergency department overflow area serving ICU-level patients
- Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive care support within the ED setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols as clinically indicated
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Background in both Emergency Department and ICU nursing
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care environment
