Registered Nurse – Emergency / ICU Overflow

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an emergency department overflow area serving ICU-level patients
- Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for high-acuity emergency and ICU patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established protocols
- Perform neurological assessments utilizing the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) as clinically indicated
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency or ICU setting
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Dual experience in both Emergency and ICU nursing environments
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care setting
