Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Neurosurgical ICU setting, caring for patients with acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), seizures, and post-surgical conditions
- Perform invasive intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and conduct frequent, thorough neurological assessments
- Monitor and manage hemodynamic status for critically ill patients
- Accompany or coordinate patient transport and care related to routine CT, MRI, and angiography procedures
- Manage patient assignments at a 2–3:1 ratio in a 19-bed unit
- Float to other ICU or step-down units as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in an ICU or critical care setting
- Proficiency in neurological assessments and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to manage invasive intracranial pressure monitoring
- Flexibility to float to other ICU or step-down units as required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Neurosurgical or Neuro ICU environment
- Familiarity with care of stroke, SAH, and post-neurosurgical patient populations
- Experience supporting or coordinating CT, MRI, and angiography procedures
