    Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac Intensive Care)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including management of advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
    • Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines
    • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias in a high-acuity ICU setting
    • Deliver pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention care, including sheath removal
    • Care for post-cardiac surgery patients (not directly from the OR) and step-down overflow patients as needed
    • Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting (CVICU, CCU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU strongly required)
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification
    • Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and TVP
    • Experience with CRRT and invasive hemodynamic monitoring in a critical care environment
    • Background in pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and sheath removal procedures
