Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac Intensive Care)

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including management of advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias in a high-acuity ICU setting
Deliver pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention care, including sheath removal
Care for post-cardiac surgery patients (not directly from the OR) and step-down overflow patients as needed
Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting (CVICU, CCU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU strongly required)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and TVP
Experience with CRRT and invasive hemodynamic monitoring in a critical care environment
Background in pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and sheath removal procedures
