Assess, monitor, and evaluate critically ill adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced medical interventions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and specialized treatments safely and accurately.
Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and CRRT equipment as applicable.
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status, including participation in Code Blue events.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning, while maintaining infection prevention standards and compliance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a valid compact license.
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required for travel submissions.
Prior travel nursing experience required; local candidates will not be considered.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience caring for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients, including management of arterial lines, central venous catheters, and vasopressor/titratable drips.
Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, sepsis management, sedation and pain management, and critical care documentation.
Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and rapid sequence response protocols.
