Contract | Travel | 12-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM start) | Projected Start: October 5, 2026
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity ICU environment.
Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and other diagnostic data; recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions promptly.
Manage ventilated patients, invasive lines, vasoactive medications, and other critical-care therapies.
Administer medications, blood products, IV fluids, and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy; accurately document all assessments, interventions, and care plans.
Respond to rapid-response and emergency situations as assigned; participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.
Communicate effectively during handoff reports and interdisciplinary rounds; educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge needs.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice or active multistate compact privilege.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent ICU or critical-care nursing experience.
Prior travel nursing experience required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Demonstrated experience caring for ventilated patients and managing critical-care medications.
Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, health screening, and competency assessments.
Must not be local to the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with electronic medical records and computerized clinical documentation systems.
Strong critical-thinking, clinical-assessment, and prioritization skills in a multi-patient high-acuity setting.
Ability to adapt quickly to new facility processes, workflows, and changing patient needs.
Effective communication, teamwork, and conflict-resolution skills within an interdisciplinary care team.
