Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Fort Worth, TX

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans in a critical care setting
• Provide advanced life support, treat wounds, and respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols
• Monitor and record patient vital signs; ensure proper function of ventilators, monitors, IABP, and other medical equipment, making adjustments as needed
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications, perform suctioning, and assist physicians with procedures
• Collaborate with the critical care team and serve as a patient advocate throughout the care process
• Provide education and emotional support to patient families; may also care for pre- and post-operative patients

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or multi-state RN license (must be current and in good standing)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a critical care or ICU environment
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Familiarity with long-term acute care or specialty hospital settings
