Travel RN – ICU (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 to 3:1
Operate and monitor equipment including Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
Perform and assist with unit procedures including telemetry monitoring, BiPap management, therapeutic phlebotomy, and paracentesis (physician-led)
Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including CNCs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
Float as needed to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED per unit floating policy
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting
Active RN license in Kentucky or a valid Compact nursing license in good standing
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Current NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be certified annually)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with CPap/BiPap management and port access
Proficiency with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, central lines, blood transfusions, ventilators, and post-dialysis assessment
Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system
