Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting during day shift hours
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using the Epic electronic health records system
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Float to Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
  • Adhere to all facility policies, dress code standards, and compliance requirements throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of RN experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU/CCU experience required
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing (current Nursys verification required)
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Epic electronic health records system required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Must be willing and able to float to Med Surg/Telemetry when needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must have personal reliable transportation
  • Must have completed verbal de-escalation training through an approved provider (Welle or CPI) prior to onboarding
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a large community hospital or regional health system environment
  • Familiarity with coronary care, behavioral health, or rehabilitation service lines in addition to ICU
