Key Responsibilities of the ICU Registered Nurse

Provide high-quality critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support treatments
Manage ventilators and other specialized ICU equipment
Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Support and educate patients and families during critical care situations

Requirements of the ICU Registered Nurse

Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an ICU setting
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in high-acuity environments
