Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 3x12 (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients including medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke populations in a high-acuity environment
• Titrate complex IV drips including vasopressors and manage patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring systems, Arctic Sun, glucometers, and feeding pumps
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to areas of clinical competence as needed
• Adhere to weekend and on-call standby requirements, including a 1-hour report time for low census call

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations and exceptions are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification
• Experience caring for complex trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients in a Level II trauma and certified specialty center environment
• Familiarity with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity and staffing
