Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Kealakekua, HI

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 72 Hours Every Two Weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed ICU setting with a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with 1:1 care when clinically indicated
• Care for adult ICU patients, with occasional responsibility for stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric cases are transferred to a higher level of care
• Manage potential med/surg overflow assignments with ratios up to 1:3 or 1:4 as needed
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, providing shift leadership and oversight
• Float to other departments to provide supplemental support (not assuming a full patient team) as needed
• Collaborate with a minimum three-nurse team per shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Pediatric nursing experience
• ICU clinical experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a charge nurse or leadership role within an ICU setting
• Comfort with med/surg overflow patient populations and variable patient ratios
