Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, holistic, and age-specific patient and family care that progresses toward self-identified goals using the nursing process
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement plans of care, and evaluate patient and family progress toward established goals
• Delegate and assign care tasks to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate care activities, referrals, and patient care conferences
• Identify and respond to patient and family educational needs through individualized education planning and adult-learning principles

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current CPR certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in an RN role
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area
• BSN or ADN required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-risk, or unusual clinical situations
• Strong documentation skills including care planning tools such as IPOC and IPER
