Staff RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Lancaster, OH

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process from admission through discharge.
• Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner, implementing physician orders as written.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum, including discharge planning.
• Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner.
• Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers to support quality patient care.

• Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, independent decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Previous Registered Nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar acute care environment.
• Ability to manage urgent or high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
