Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, implement treatments, and evaluate effectiveness for critically ill patients with multi-system organ failure and/or multisystem trauma
Perform nursing care associated with life-supporting technology including ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO, hemodynamic monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheter management
Administer medications safely and consistently in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies and procedures
Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice in alignment with the AACN Synergy Model
Float to other unit levels as needed and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact licensure
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
BLS (Basic Life Support) required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to start (study guide available)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with ECMO, IABP, EVD, ICP monitoring, transvenous pacing, or Impella
CCRN, TNCC, TCRN, PCCN, or RN-BC certification
Familiarity with Alaris pumps, CPAP/BiPAP, and advanced respiratory modalities
Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
