Key Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of each patient to inform individualized care planning
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs, making appropriate interventions based on individual patient status
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to foster patient- and family-centered care
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required – physical copy must be provided
• NIHSS certification required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year is required
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in CVICU, with ability to float between ICU and CVICU preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience adhering to strict attendance and compliance policies in a high-acuity environment
