    Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Critical Care

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct, primary nursing care in an 8-bed critical care unit with a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio, with no nurse aides or patient care techs on the unit
    • Manage and titrate ICU-level drips including Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Levophed, Dopamine, and Cardizem
    • Care for sedated and ventilated patients, including tracheostomy management, PEG tube care and feedings, and CVC/PICC/Midline usage and care
    • Monitor and interpret telemetry via hardwired Philips monitors; unit is centrally monitored by an in-unit telemetry tech
    • Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy (available in-house 24/7) and tele-health physicians available after hours for ICU coverage
    • Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed per staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips
    • Experience caring for ventilated, sedated ICU patients including tracheostomy and CVC/PICC/Midline management
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard contract rate; candidates within 50 miles are subject to a local rate adjustment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with a broad range of ICU patient populations including respiratory failure, post-surgical, post-CVA, post-trauma, and cardiac patients
    • Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
    • Experience working in units with high-acuity, ventilator-dependent patients requiring complex drip management
