    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61605!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Critical Care

    Location

    Peoria, IL

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed critical care unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2–3, with no nurse aide support — nurses deliver primary care independently
    • Care for ICU-level patients including those with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, post-CVA, post-trauma, cardiac conditions, and wound care requiring IV antibiotics
    • Manage and titrate ICU-level drips including Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Levophed, Dopamine, and Cardizem
    • Provide care for sedated and ventilated patients, including tracheostomy management, PEG tube care and feedings, and CVC/PICC/Midline usage and maintenance
    • Monitor patients via hard-wired Phillips telemetry systems; work alongside on-unit telemetry technicians for centralized monitoring
    • Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend), holiday rotation, and occasional float coverage to the medical-surgical unit as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressors, sedation drips, and pain control drips
    • Proficiency with tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation, and respiratory equipment (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow)
    • Experience with CVC, PICC, and Midline line care and PEG tube management
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen; facility maintains a drug-free campus policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel or contract nursing experience in an ICU or critical care setting
    • Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
    • Experience working in environments with tele-health physician coverage during off-hours
