Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill cardiovascular patients throughout night shift hours
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or a compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience
- Experience in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) or similar critical care specialty
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced critical care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with cardiovascular monitoring equipment and hemodynamic management
- CCRN or other relevant critical care certification
