Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care across a combined-acuity unit encompassing ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg levels of care within a single 10-bed unit
Titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin; manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP with RT support
Monitor ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitor; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
Care for a diverse patient population including sepsis, respiratory arrest, COPD, pneumonia, DKA, drug/alcohol withdrawal, and post-operative complications
Float as needed to adult Med-Surg, Pediatric (adult assignments), and ICU/PCU units at a secondary campus with two-hour advance notice
Participate in holiday rotation and low-census standby rotation as scheduled
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg at a larger facility with strong clinical skills
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract signing
Ability to titrate drips and manage patients across multiple acuity levels
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a combined or acuity-adaptable unit environment
Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring systems and strip reading
Prior experience floating to PCU, Med-Surg, or Pediatric units in an adult care capacity
