Registered Nurse – ICU (12-Hour Days)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting, managing patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, CVAs, post-arrest, and complex post-operative conditions
• Perform and manage higher-level therapies including CRRT, TPA administration, manual prone positioning, and hypothermia protocol as applicable
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage invasive lines, ventilators, trachs, ostomies, and general drains
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR (required)
• Float within scope of practice to other units (e.g., PCU, Med-Surg) for partial shifts as needed; must be flexible and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver effective patient education and maintain strong communication with interdisciplinary team members including hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapy available 24/7

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required
• Demonstrated skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, invasive line management, trach care, ostomy care, and general drain management
• Traveler Telemetry Competency required prior to starting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with CRRT, prone positioning protocols, and flap surgery post-operative care
• Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma center environment
