Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights (18:45–07:15) | 3x12 Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across an entire episode of care
- Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families or caregivers in a Medical ICU setting
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating knowledge of cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the patient population served
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and serve as a resource within the unit up to individual competency level, including floating to other departments as needed
- Maintain continuous mental focus to ensure optimal, safe patient care and sound clinical judgment in all interactions and decision-making
- Be available to work major holidays, weekends, and occasional additional shifts as required by department needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with chest pain accredited center protocols and critical care workflows
- Experience working in a unit where the ICU Charge RN also serves in a Rapid Response capacity
