Registered Nurse – CCU / ICU

Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a critical care unit setting with a 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Work rotating 12-hour variable shifts, including every other weekend and every other holiday
- Float to similar units within skillset, including locations within a 40-mile radius, as needed; floating may be pre-scheduled
- Be available for on-call assignments; call-back minimum is 2 hours
- Occasionally care for pediatric surgical patients, which may include ENT or orthopedic cases
- Document patient care and clinical information using an electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
- Compliance with facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a critical access or rural hospital setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record charting
