Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Rochester, NY

Contract | Nights | 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Manage complex critical care patients including those with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory failure, shock, multi-organ failure, and post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management
• Support and monitor patients on advanced therapies including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella, and pre-VAD workups
• Care for patients experiencing alcohol withdrawal and overdose presentations
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/MICU experience required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing patients on ECMO, Impella, IABP, or CRRT
• Familiarity with targeted temperature management protocols and post cardiac arrest care
• Experience with pre-VAD workup patients in a critical care environment
