Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU (Level 3)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neurological patients in a 12-bed intensive care unit
- Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies
- Apply strong critical thinking and organizational skills to deliver high-acuity patient care
- Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed per unit requirements
Required Qualifications- Active New York State RN License (NY license required)
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification through American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification through American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for patients with complex neurological conditions in a critical care environment
- Demonstrated ability to remain current in critical care knowledge and best practices
