Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients, including those presenting with conditions such as COPD exacerbation
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1–2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Must wear navy blue scrubs per facility dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech electronic health records
• Experience managing patients with COPD exacerbation or similar acute respiratory conditions
• Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation standards and practices
