Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool)

San Francisco, CA | Acute Care / Teaching Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days & Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 / Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU settings as part of a float pool, with the ability to be reassigned to TCUs, ICUs, the ED, and PACU based on facility need
• Float to multiple departments and facilities within the health system as required; float assignments may occur at any time during the assignment
• Adhere to rotating shift schedules that may alternate between day and night shifts across schedule cycles
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Maintain current CA RN License, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications throughout the assignment
• Complete all required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facilities must be disclosed with full employment history at time of submittal
• Local candidates are welcome and are considered on the same basis as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2.5 or more years of ICU experience
• NIHSS certification
