Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Seattle, WA

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple units including Critical Care, Observation, Med/Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care
• Manage 1–3 patients depending on acuity, following standard AACN CCU staffing guidelines
• Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitoring systems alongside monitor technician support
• Participate in self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts per schedule block and required holiday coverage

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior float pool or cross-unit floating experience required (float pool, multi-facility, or cross-floor assignments)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• High acuity patient care experience strongly preferred
• Experience with cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical patient populations
• Device training and competency check-off experience (e.g., specialty drips and monitoring devices)
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation systems
