Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a mixed ICU (medical and cardiovascular) setting with acuity-based ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU-level patients and 1:3–4 for PCU-level patients
Manage complex diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, stroke post-TNK administration, CRRT, IABP, Impella, PA catheters, and post-cardiac arrest patients on Arctic Sun
Titrate ICU drips including sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics
Set up, manage, and independently interpret telemetry monitors and rhythm strips
Provide recovery care for immediate post-open heart surgery patients and overflow from the cath lab and post-surgical cases
Float as needed between critical care floors or to the ER for patient holds; rotate holidays with permanent staff and expect weekend assignments, particularly Sundays
Required Qualifications
Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
CRRN or PCCN certification preferred
Specialty skills in Swan-Ganz catheter management, Prismaflex CRRT, IABP, and immediate open heart recovery
Experience with Epic EMR within the past year (may allow testing out of Epic training modules)
Flexible, team-player mentality with the ability to adapt to scheduling needs
