Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Pulmonary & Progressive Care

Contract | Night Shift | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Straight nights, rotating shifts, or blocked scheduling available
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient-centered care on a combined medical-surgical and progressive care unit managing diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, CHF, pulmonary embolism, and COVID-19
Perform and monitor oxygen therapy, IV medications, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and postoperative care
Conduct moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies and manage telemetry and cardiac monitoring
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including case managers, social workers, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and physical therapists
Document patient care using Epic; administer IV fluids via Alaris pumps and medications via Acudose
Float to Med-Surg units as needed; travelers are the first to be reassigned to another department
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in South Dakota or a compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Minimum experience with BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow oxygen, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care
Ability to badge in and out at the facility for every shift
Navy blue scrubs required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Specialty nursing certification (e.g., Progressive Care Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing)
Prior experience in an IMC or step-down/progressive care setting
Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Acudose medication dispensing systems
