Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Southampton, NY

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Collect and report critical patient data and lab/diagnostic values to the physician in a timely manner, documenting physical assessment findings including abnormal results.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and perform interventions in accordance with patient need and facility policy.
• Advocate on behalf of patients and their families while maintaining professional communication with patients, families, peers, and nursing management.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and exercise utmost care when interacting with patients.
• Float to additional units as directed by management, including CCU and ED.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Current TNCC certification.
• NIHSS Certification and Moderate Sedation Certification.
• Ability to work every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac catheterization experience.
• Comfort and flexibility floating to multiple units, including CCU and ED.
