Contract | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Uses the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes in relation to established goals.
Collects and reports critical data relevant to patient condition to the physician in a timely manner, and assesses appropriate lab and diagnostic findings.
Documents findings of physical assessment and identifies abnormal findings; develops individualized plans of care based on patient need.
Advocates on behalf of patients and their families while maintaining open communication with nursing management and demonstrating a professional demeanor with all team members.
Performs interventions according to patient need and facility policy, adhering to all safety guidelines.
May float to additional units including CCU and Emergency Department as needed.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
Current ACLS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
Current PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
Current TNCC certification.
NIHSS Certification.
Moderate Sedation Certification.
Ability to work every other weekend.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Cardiac catheterization experience preferred.
Experience floating to varied acute care units such as CCU or Emergency Department.
