Registered Nurse – Medical ICU (MICU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting within a short-term acute care, teaching facility
- Chart and document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records system
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs across multiple hospital campuses within the health system
- Complete required pre-start modules in a timely manner as prioritized by the facility
- Adhere to strict attendance and facility compliance policies throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 18 months of MICU experience required
- Current AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submittal
- NIHSS certification required prior to start date
- EPIC electronic health records experience required
- Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of MICU experience preferred
- Familiarity with EKG interpretation and pharmacology assessments
