Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Adhere to the facility's scheduling requirements, including nights, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC electronic health records system.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (verification must be less than 30 days old).
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
Must be willing to obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered.
Must be willing to obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered.
Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records system required.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be state-recorded.
No scheduling restrictions; must be willing to work the facility's schedule.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an acute care facility with high admission and emergency volume.
Familiarity with ICU-specific skills checklists and competency documentation.
